About The Band
 |
Dean Boeschen -
Vocals
Discovered by band mate Don Beile singing karaoke to a Sinatra tune while dressed as Elvis at a Halloween party, other details
about the encounter are quite fuzzy...asked to join the
A4n band, then known as Foundation in 2004. Prior years of singing experience include
many years in school and church choirs. Caught the entertainment bug when he
first appeared on Romper Room at age 5 (Hi Miss
Lois). Now focusing his attention on Rock &
Roll he still sings in Church but likes to listen to Train, Journey, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox
20, Maroon 5 and
Doobie Brothers. |

Ron Hogrebe - Lead Guitar
& Vocals
Ron, who is just a few years older than Nick, bought his first guitar and amp at Central Hardware. Yes, Central Hardware - at the age of 10. What do you mean Nick has never heard of Central Hardware? At the time he told his Dad that this would be the only guitar he would ever need. At least a dozen guitars later, he is telling his wife every time he gets another one that this is the last guitar he will ever need. Ron has played with some top bands including ZZ Top, Santana, and the Allman Brothers to name a few (that is,while their CD is in the player). He later joined the local band Off the Record and also had a short stint with 2nd Nature. He became a member of A4N, in 2007. He is recognized as the one wearing a hat to cut down on glare coming from the stage. |

Ken Peters - Lead
Rhythm, Vocals and Prolocutor
Born and raised in the mean streets of Manchester, Missouri, Ken's first guitar was from KMart ($44) that he plugged into the back of his stereophonic record player. He mastered three chords by the age of 21, honing his chops on the complex structures of blues and rock. Ken found A4N through an online service and joined the guys to further explore his appreciation for imported beer and gourmet deer sausage. Ken's personal motto is, "To obtain full and complete happiness you must lower thy expectations." |

Nick Hennicke -
Keyboard
Still the youngest member of All4nothin, Nick is at the ripe old age of 21. Originally, Nick wanted to play the guitar, but quickly realized that, contrary to popular belief about guitar players, piano players get the chicks. He began playing piano for churches and choirs at the age of 10, at which time, he could barely hop on the piano bench without help. He loves to play any and all types of music, and is influenced by everyone from Elton John and Ben Folds, to the Beatles and Allman Bros, to Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans. Nick was almost certainly born in the wrong era, with his long hair, hippie styles, lack of punctuality, and general disorganization, but never-the-less he is currently going to SLU to get a degree.
He has much to learn from the "wiser" and marginally older other members of A4n. Here are some pearls of wisdom Nick has learned along the way;
-
the mind is the first thing to go, the only thing you can do is drink more...so you have something external to blame it on,
- playing a gig for alcohol and food is just as good, if not better, than getting paid,
- see Ken Peter's profile for his motto,
- Fishing for bass, and playing a bass are equally important in life...and Don can never pick between them.

Troy Burton -
Drums
Troy has been into music since he came out of the womb, when he first heard his mother screaming...he was a big baby! Ever since he can remember, music has been a big part of his life. He started on his dad’s circa 1965 blue sparkle Slingerland 3-pc kit and learned the standard first songs that every rocker of his time learns (Smoke on the Water, Paranoid and maybe even Cocaine). Troy was 14-15 years old when he got into his 1st band. Since then he has been in so many different varieties of bands that it’s hard to even think of them, let alone list them. Pounding on a bunch of skins can do that to you. Troy joined the A4n boys in March of 2009. Biggest influence would have to be John Bonham (he really cried the day he died) and could not begin to list all of the drummers that have had some sort of influence on his musical trek. Weapon of Choice: Anything that can be beaten with a stick! |
